Anti roll
I'm looking for opinions on which anti roll bar works better on a trailing arm truck. I have a 64 c10 thats been lowered 2.5 in the front and 5 in the rear. It use to 60ft in the 1.39 range but as I've turned the power up I have steadily lost 60ft times. The teuck is twisting up terribly and I want to add an anti roll bar to it. Right now it's welded stock trailing arms with good bushings and Viking crusader shocks. Any input is welcomed.

Re: Anti roll
How much of it is frame twist? I would go after that first.

I don't know the spring rate.of.the current.springs. They are 5" lowering springs amf.rather stiff. I've tried softer springs and it hit the tire harder and then rebounded to hard for the shocks to manage it. |

Re: Anti roll
From what I have run over the years I always trouble tuning a flexible flyer. Here is what I would try if I was helping some one at the track. First step would be to ad a pound of tire pressure and tighten the compression on the right two clicks and tighten rebound on the left two. Then see what happens. Get some one to video the leave and see how bad the tire is wrapping up. That will tell you alot about your tire pressure and sidewall choices. A couple extra pounds and some help from the shocks to control the speed things happen can make a big change. Now what have you got in the front? How do you leave the line? Trans brake and two step of foot brake? Also hit can be worked with converter choice.

Re: Anti roll
I appreciate your input. I'll give that a try next time I'm at the track. I know the truck needs a good bit of chassis work. I building an s10 right now to swap this setup into. It's getting a 10 point cage atm. Once that's done and I'm racing it, the truck will get the chassis attention it needs and a little stouter drive train.

Re: Anti roll
And to answer your question. I leave off trans brake with a 2step. I've played with setting the 2step closer to my converter Ann's backing it down to let the converter flash more.problem persist either way. I just finished installing a 2 stage crossbar plate to try and leave a little softer and pull the second kit in a tenth or 2 out. Haven't got it back to the track yet.

Re: Anti roll
Does the truck drive out straight?
I know on my factory rear antiroll it was pulling the front left and causing it to drive right out of the hole. I made an antibiotic roll bar out of 1 3/4 tubing and RV bushings keeping it in the factory location. Problem solved.

Re: Anti roll
It drives straight unless spinning then drives towards the left.
