need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
i searched on here, but a lot (most) of the links were dead, or places that used to make them has went out of business
i used to have a checker pro, back in the day, and it fit great, whats out there now that looks good? anything at least vinyl that you all have any experience with? i hate to just take a $250+ leap for a vinyl tonneau and buy something that either looks like crap, or doesn't fit well thanks |

Re: need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
I know it's not a flush mount, but take a look at the Undercover brand. They work great and are lightweight (60 lbs). 2 people can remove it in 3 or 4 minutes and you can hang it on your wall.
OBTW, your truck looks awesome....again.....

Re: need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
I have one of these on mine. I'm happy with it and it's good quality. It's not flush mount but I know they can do custom ones.
http://www.gaylordslids.com/ http://www.gaylordslids.com/showroom...987-short-bed/ I second BLP86. Your truck is very nice.

Re: need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
I remember people back in the day building there own from plywood and covering with the old style astro turf. Maybe you could do something like that but cover with fiberglass.

Re: need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
I'm not much into soft covers but these guys seem to have a nice product, my first thought was to buy one and then get a sheet of aluminum and have it welded to the frame, here is a link

Re: need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
I had a Nissan Titan a few years ago with a Truxed low pro I think it was called. I liked it. It sit pretty flush and rolls up when you need it out of the way. At the time I remember they also made them for 73-87 Chevy trucks because I was thinking about buying one for my 87’.

Re: need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
I know, I know, I should have known better than to not throw up some pics also. It was covered in snow so I pulled it in the garage to let it melt. Soon as it's dry I'll take some pictures and put them up.

Re: need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
So the tonneau cover was already on the truck when I got. The receipt I got with it says $1300 which is pretty high. Like I said though it is good quality and I'm happy with it. It is heavy, definitely not a one person job to take off.

The ones 3" in on both corners look like cylindrical locks.

I agree they are quite spendy, already being on the truck when I bought it was definitely a plus. It's a nice truck, would look really clean with one on it. Hopefully someone else knows of a better option.

Re: need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
That means I would almost be spending as much on a bed cover as I did on the truck. Yep, Gaylords is out of the question for me

I have been shopping around for what fits and looks good and this site seems to have several options.

Re: need recommendations for a flush tonneau cover
I am thinking about doing one of these because I like that it looks in several locations and I can roll it back and use the bed of my truck to haul large items still.
