71-72 center link 1/2, 3/4 ton difference?

I ordered a used 71-72 center link for a 3/4 c20. I thought it was gonna work but looks totally different, the eBay seller will return only for the cost of the part. But I am looking at getting one but need to know if there is a difference.

The are listing them all the same at this link

Centerlink:
Grouped by Differences:
*60-62
*63-64
*65-70
*71-72
*73-87

Re: 71-72 center link 1/2, 3/4 ton difference?

So far as I remember they are different. I installed 1971 3/4 ton front brakes on my 1970 and used the donor centerlink, which I think you should probably do as well...

71-2 3/4t center link is the same as 73-up 1/2 and 3/4t
71-2 1/2t center link is different from above center link.

Re: 71-72 center link 1/2, 3/4 ton difference?

Okay what I have is 71 1/2 spindles
And a 71-72 3/4 center link tie rods and drag link.

Is there anyway to make this work if I got a different steering box off of a 73-87?

I was planning on getting the 71-72 center link and using a 71-72 ball joint kit with tie rod ends and ball joints drag link ext.

Otherwise I’d see if I could get 73-87 parts such as spindles and then use this center link.
