6 lug wheel donor trucks?
Hello, all. Just started a ‘71 SWB k10 rebuild project and I need to get it rolling on some temporary wheels and tires. What salvage yard trucks can I look at to find some wheel and tires? Would the 6 lug pattern from a 2006 Chevy pickup/Tahoe etc fit? A Ford option maybe?
Thx! |

Re: 6 lug wheel donor trucks?
Newer stuff shares bolt pattern but hub opening is too small. Ferd won’t work....

Re: 6 lug wheel donor trucks?
and the newer gm stuff backspace is deeper = sucks in the rim more and possible hit of tire rod to rim or other stuff.
check craigslist there seems to always be lots of tire / rim deals cheep . I know the hub hole is bigger on Toyota and Nissan with the same 6 bolt pattern . just not sure if they will clear stuff like brakes and steering .
