Nada is an appropriate name.

Whos got an extra 36k laying around? Good luck getting a bank to loan that much on it! Even the square bodies are trying to creep up now.

Re: Nada needs to make some changes!
Hagerty values a truck like that one at $9400 in "good" condition (ignoring the smashed front bumper and the fact that it is a propane truck). Nothing collectible or desirable in that rig in my opinion.

Re: Nada needs to make some changes!
It isn't NADA's opinion, but fact of what vehicles are selling for and being insured for. Like it or not folks, but it is statistically valid.
Prices are going up, and it is a good thing for us that already own Make sure your insurance value is being kept up to date.... |

Re: Nada needs to make some changes!
It's not a good thing for any of us. These inflated and unsupportable values drive up the costs for everyone. Once this bubble pops, we'll all be better off.

Re: Nada needs to make some changes!
I and many of us here have been involved in assessing values in these trucks, as well as most classic vehicles, for years if not decades longer than NADA or KBB. I guess both have been around longer than I have, but until recent years neither had any interest what so ever in anything over 5 years old. That is how it went across the board for banks, insurance, dealerships, etc. creating the old car gap from 6 years old till 25 where you couldn't borrow or get full coverage. Old vehicle quality varies widely and so do the values. Too much to ever write an accurate guide unless it had increments from $500 - $125,000 (Is that high enough? )

Re: Nada needs to make some changes!
I have seen the value of these truck swing wildly depending on who is appraising. This is a good example...

One thing is certain, the value is going up...as is the price of parts. Mine may never be worth as much as I have in it but that's ok. It's not for sale. |

Re: Nada needs to make some changes!
It appears that your in the majority as the truck has been for sale for at least a year now. I find it ridiculous that if your asking for that kind of money why you wouldn't put a new bumper on it.

Re: Nada needs to make some changes!
Why oh why would anyone list any car or truck for sale without cleaning it up first , All it shows me when they list them dirty with junk on the floor and a simple vacuum and wash would help them so much , clean off the engine at least . dirty shows me they've given up and want it gone .

Better sell now while people are paying stupid money. They won’t forever...

Re: Nada needs to make some changes!
Honestly though, if someone buys it at that price, I guess it's good for the guy selling it. I mean, mine is not for sale but someone could get it cheap if they offered me only 20, 000.

Re: Nada needs to make some changes!
NADA is exactly what I would give for the first post truck........we should be glad our trucks are increasing in value. Hard to gauge when our trucks at auctions like BJ are getting top dollar so driving the price guide lists up.
