Need help IDing a steering column
I am re-wiring a 67 C10. There is no neutral safety switch or back up light switch. I checked at the base of the steering column at the fire wall. No hole there. The is a rectangular hole about half way down the column. I am reasonable sure the column was replaced but I can not figure our where it cam from.
The column shift is for a power glide. I attached a picture of the wiring harness connector. Does anyone know what this might be from? Or more importantly how I can install a neutral safety switch. I am considering the alternative of connecting a relay to the brake light switch. At least the driver will have to have their foot on the brake. My first choice is a neutral safety switch, which would also provide a back up light switch. |

Take some pictures of the column and show us what you have. It should have a horseshoe connector from factory

Re: Need help IDing a steering column
I dropped the column and could not find a hole for the neutral safety switch. So I bought a replacement column.
