Blazer buckets question
This is pertaining to the passenger side fold up lowback bucket seat. I have seen them advertised for the 69-72 with a lever on the back. My 70 has a hook type lever on the side which allows the seat to flip forward when pulled. Were there 2 different versions of these seats or does mine not have the correct seats?

Re: Blazer buckets question
Seat frames themselves are the same for 69-75 (except the skirts which changed in 73+). Seat cushions were the same for 69-70 and changed for 71-75. 69 and I think maybe some 70 Blazers had the side pull brackets. The back pulls came after that.

Re: Blazer buckets question
Does anyone know how the skirts changed in 73 from 72?

Re: Blazer buckets question
The '73 up ones have more of a taper from front to back than the 72 and older ones. They are maybe an inch shorter or so at the back, but you have to really be looking for it to notice it.

Re: Blazer buckets question
I have a set of utility seats from a '71...the folding passenger seat has both the side and center release.
please note: this is NOT a for sale or offer for sale post...for info only..lest it be misconstrued.

Re: Blazer buckets question
I have a 70 blazer that was very original when I got it. It has the the seat frame that
A1971blazer had posted. For a passenger seat belt retractor It had the same as a pickup truck. It has never had dripcaps on the doors, It has a larger rubber seal. Obviously GM figured out some issues rather quickly. I have owned several 71-72 blazers before I got this one. The frame in the 1970 actually moves and sways more compared to the 71-72 seats. All the stress/weight goes in that one place which is not centered |

Re: Blazer buckets question
There's a story behind that statement........ but for the sake of civility...I won't go into it....
In some way, everyone justifies their reasons for doing something....whether it be right or wrong.
