Reupholstered seats
Has anyone ever done this? I see LMC has a nice looking kit in all black. My intentions for the interior are to go with all black so I think it would work nicely. Just curious if I’m better off buying a complete aftermarket seat and maybe selling the one I have or should I give reupholstering a shot? If anyone has done this please chime in and if you know where a better easier kit is let me know.! Thanks all

Re: Reupholstered seats
I reupholster seats. I started a little side hobby on restoring and rebuilding bench seats. There's a link at the bottom, in my signature. I go the extra step and sandblast the frames & tracks and repair the springs. Most upholstery shops will only recover the seat, they will not touch the frame.
Now the good news is, you can do all this with your seat. Just be patient and have everything on hand before you remove your seat from the truck.

Re: Reupholstered seats
I did my own with a old sewing machine from my mom and it turned out good.Got a donor seat and took the material and separated all the old sewing and traced the old onto new material and sewed it back together. The only thing you can,t do with a regular sewing machine is put in the piping as is too thick for the machine. Get a walking foot for the old machine and it makes a better sewing line.Check u tube on tutorials,Sailrite has a good one on doing a truck seat. Take lots of pictures of the donor seat before and also when tearing it apart
