Exclamation '67 Cabin vs body color

Does anyone know if the '67 C20 was originally one color in the interior and one color outside? The outside of mine is aqua blue and in the cabin the color is gold-like. Thanks.

welcome to the board nima-i'm kinda new myself. longhorn man referred me to this board and i'm forever thankful. i will be the first to let you know there is a tremendous amount of knowlege here. i've gotten more help in the last week with my questions than in the past 10 years of researching things myself. there are a bunch of truly good and knowledgable folks in here so enjoy!
i have owned 3 67s and the first was dark green exterior and matching dark green interior it was swb c-10 fleetside. the second was aqua exterior and aqua interior it was lwb fleetside c-10. my c-30 was yellow exterior and silver/gray interior. all were original paint. the 67 sales brochure i have shows 3 interiors. 2 match interior and exterior paint colors. the third shows red interior and white exterior. i have also seen numerous 67s with differing colors for interior and exterior. i can't really guess at the color of your interior if it's gold metallic. the 50th anniversary 68s had gold metallic. if its a 67 maybe it's not original paint(?) hope that helps!

It seems to me that some of the very basic 67's had grayish interior paint with the outside of the body being a different color. As far a I've observed only the 67's had this paint combo.

toms-that is interesting. my 67 c-30 interior is definately gray or silver. the dash pad is dark gray (not black) and the original seat cover is also a very similar gray. i don't think its silver poly (an original exterior color). i did notice that interior paint options for 67s included argent silver, charcoal gray poly & silver poly. this colr must be one of these three. if toms is right that it was almost exclusively a 67 interior color it may be argent silver because that interior color is listed for only 66s and 67s. as far as the seat cover color i don't know.

i'm almost certain that charcoal gray is a "darker" gray. personally i would rule this color out as a possibility. my c-30 interior is not "dark" gray at all. it does appear to have metal flake in it though. the color must be argent silver or silver poly--although i do not know the difference and if i did i do not think i could accurately describe such a difference between 2 silvers. the seat cover (which is original) is "medium" gray. by the way-the exterior color of my c-30 was originally yellow.

thanks 68 burb-now i'm gonna go out tomorrow and take a close look at my interior. i swear my interior is lacking in "goldness" but i'm pretty blind. i do remember my wife saying when i first got the truck the seat cover looked "brownish" but she's blinder than me and i bet that seat cover has never been cleaned. if it is fawn then it might be "medium fawn poly" an exclusive interior color for 67s. "dark fawn suede" was interior color for 67s & 68s. is there an interior paint color code located somewhere on the 67-68s? if so i bet one of my all original 67s has it.

68burb-you are the man. that is definately the color of my 67 interior. another mystery solved to be filed away! curious how the 67 sales brochure states thatthere were 4 interior colors available and fawn does not appear to be 1 of the 4 pictured in the brochure. thanks again!

Thank you

Thanks for all the info. You are gona hear from me alot since this is just beginning of my project and this is my first C20 (which I tought is untouched by the way!). I always tought the exterior color isn't original color until I found it's color code inside the glove box which is aqua blue. On the other hand I was feeling sure that interior paint is original gold/fawn color since it is peeling off and I can trace it in all the corner inside the cabin. Anyway, Thanks again.

fawn

Yes, that is the color of the interior. My 67 is that way. Fawn interior, white exterior. I think I even have the paint code for the fawn as mine is getting worn in some spots and I think I'm going to re-spray it since I have the interior out. The fawn color was actually used on trucks a few years prior too. The dash and the glove box door are silver outlined though (factory). The glove box door has that black wrinkle finish on the inside of the silver lined outside. It's all factory. Brian

On my 67 SWB Custom, interior is blue with a white ext. On the 67 4x4 Burb, int is fawn while ext was originally Yellow. It seems that basic 67 got the fawn, while Custom and CST could have colored int....

My friends '68 that had three options on it was the same color all around, the red orange. Interior the same color as the exterior. I know for a fact that this truck never got molested and is totally original to this day, with the exception of the parts I've scavenged from it.

I got a spray can of '68 Fawn from either the Paddock or Year One. Spendy, but I wanted to touch up my dash bezel and steering wheel. The interior of my old '67 Sub was Fawn allover, too.

How much did that can cost, and how did it match up? Thanks
