Re: _Ogre Inspired on Craigslist?

no original ideas on my truk, pretty much everything that can be done to a truck... already has
i'd like to think that i combined the custom features, ride height, wheel choice and color into something that says ME!

roughly the same angle pic

Re: _Ogre Inspired on Craigslist?

the ad has the emblems too far forward, in my opinion, so it is funny how you get used to seeing something and then it looks weird when different.

Re: _Ogre Inspired on Craigslist?

His just look a lot better further back.

On the Craigslist truck I can never figure out why the seller (s) doesn't redo the carb and have the rig so it will fire up and run right. A lot easier to sell if it runs right and the seller can say "runs great, drives good needs to be trailered as the lights need hooked up.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: _Ogre Inspired on Craigslist?

i just noticed it has 32 side spears, he must have shortened the bed
probably why it has no steps

do you think that is rust or dirt in the step well?

Re: _Ogre Inspired on Craigslist?

I'm going to assume that he took the steps off and ever put them back on. Truck looks like it may have been driven for a while and was taken apart to make a few changes and never put back together. Life or failing interest getting in the way.

Could be a shortened longbed though.

Or health. The truck really seems to reflect a '90s build strategy, too. Maybe it's a real "Barn Find."

probably #2 cause of failed builds, right after ''i bit off more than i could chew'' fails
guy retires, starts long awaited dream build, health fails, project gets put on hold and eventually sold
aka why ogre only built truk
