Shifter for 4 speed Saginaw Car Trans

Upgrading my three on the tree to a saginaw 4 speed I got for free out of a nova. I am already sourcing the drive shaft but I will also need a shifter for it too. I dont want to spend $500 on a hurst shifter because it's just going behind a 250 and a saginaw. I was thinking of using OER #6264024 as an alternative as it was made for that exact transmission. I'm curious though if it will be to short since I put in updated seats from a 2002 Tahoe. Or, Do you guys know of any other shifter that wont cost a ton of money and will work or would this be ok?

Does your sag have the 3 hole mounting flange on the tailhouse?
If so any 4 speed shifter will work. If not you’ll need a mounting kit.

It's a 441 thats referenced from Hurst website. So yes it has the 3 hole mounting flange. Do you recommend a different shifter that would be better suited for C10s?

Your seats might be a problem.
The stock seat is tight to the shifter too.
You need a bench seat shifter.
Like this.

Should be able to find a used one.

I think I have a lead on a shifter but what about the linkage? Does it have to be a 441 saginaw linkage or is there a muncie linkage that would work too?

You need the sag linkage because of the reverse arm location.
You could use a Muncie shifter and modify the linkage if needed.
Make your own reverse rod.

Well I dont know how I did it but I managed to grab a Sag linkage off amazon for $90 shipped. I hope they dont try to cancel and then make it more expensive. They charged my card and approved the order so let's hope for the best. I found a really nice shifter for a truck on ebay along with a good condition competition plus shifter body.

Here's a link to both:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/123002527168

Now let's hope I have everything I need to turn my 4 bolt saginaw three on the tree to a 7 bolt saginaw from a car. I have a 71 drive shaft from a three speed truck coming so now it would be a matter of bolting up the trans and drive shaft, right?
