Short Bed Conversion Information
I've been looking for short bed conversion information with mixed results. Different measurements, types of cuts, where to cut a long bed to make a short bed (actual bed not frame), crew cab long bed vs. regular cab long bed conversion, miscellaneous info regarding fuel/brake lines, tanks etc etc. Photobucket really screwed us when they changed up and deleted a lot of good photos from the threads.
I thought maybe those of you that have done these conversions could share your information in one thread (possible Sticky) for those of us looking to do the conversion. My plan is to do a mid-size bed conversion on my 73 CC. |

Re: Short Bed Conversion Information
I don't want to make anyone mad by posting their threads or information. I'm just trying to make this a little easier to research. If it's a problem I will edit this thread.

Re: Short Bed Conversion Information
I cut the 14" out of the front of my bed, but have yet to cut the rear. That gives me a bed right at 7'. Of course I had to do the same to the aluminum cap that I have on it. I covered it fairly well in my build from page 2 cutting the frame to page 6 cutting down the bed.
