Blue on Blue = classy

Black on Blue = some class

Grey on Blue = no class

It's a personal decision, but just remember 'happy wife, happy life'!
My truck btw- blue paint with black soft goods. That's the way I like it.

Re: Blue on Blue or Black on Blue interior

25 yrs. good for you guys!!
Blue seat, black seatbelts, and just for giggles why not a black vinyl floor and door panels.
Honestly if you have a good marriage with the love of your life the truck could have a hot pink interior! Have fun figuring out what to build.
All the best,
Dirk

Re: Blue on Blue or Black on Blue interior

Ok guys here we go. Last week I ordered all the blue stuff. It all just came in today. The door panels and visors are pui and the dash and arm rests are automotive whatever. The pui colors look right and really good. I have look around at multiple sites and i think they carry the same brands for these parts. I cant find arm rests and a dash that are not crayon blue. Am I supposed to paint them to match? I dont think pui makes arm rests that are any color other than black.

It is real hard to get everything to match.
It never did.
That being said, I doubt you will find exact.
69-70 Blue is different than 71-72 Blue
The door panels and visors look like 69-70
Dash pad and arm rests look 71-72

For simplicity sake
I would dye/paint the armrests and dash pad accordingly
It may take a couple tries,
But is sure a lot easier than sending parts back and forth

My personal opinion is these trucks look best with all the soft goods in the interior matching (if it’s blue/or black) like they came from the factory.
I think you are on the right track

What seat cover did you order ?

If you want to break it up a little bit, you could go with 71-72 Blue houndstooth

Re: Blue on Blue or Black on Blue interior

When ordering dash and arm rests the only option is usually "69 to 71 blue". My truck originally had the blue deluxe custom interior with the blue seat just like the very first photo in this thread. I am ordering that same seat cover either in blue or black. After getting these various blue parts and scanning brothers, ecklers, classic parts, NPD, classic industries, etc..They all look the same. Looks like either paint em or go black.

Re: Blue on Blue or Black on Blue interior

Dash pad came from The Truck Shop Orange, Ca. The seat belts are the original blue. Cleaned them with Simple Green and concrete brush. Armrest came from Summit, OER brand, same color as old one. Like Chevyland said, they didn't all match from the factory.
