Re: 1990 GMC RCSB Turbo LS Swap
I got the front rotors swapped out to the new ones and bolted up the front wheels.
I have a set of under bed notches coming from chassis by john. As soon as those get here I will get the rear knocked out. |

Re: 1990 GMC RCSB Turbo LS Swap
Well I got a little bit done on the rear. Still need to finish it up. I got most of the frame stripped, just need to do the inside of the rails. Got poly bushings installed on the leafs and shackles, installed the 9.5 14 bolt, ditched the drums and got the Impalla SS rotors machined to fit the axles. Installed the flip kit and caltracs and clearanced the frame for the notches.
Now I need to burn in the notches, pick up some steel to build a new rear cross member so I can ditch the spare tire one. Weld on the caliper brackets and mod the lines for the new rear disc setup. Finish cleaning up the frame and rear then paint. Then install the shocks and Hotchkis sway bars. Hopefully I can get all that banged out sometime soon. |

Re: 1990 GMC RCSB Turbo LS Swap
I really haven't gotten anything else done on it. I have been buying parts but my chick started a side business building and selling custom pet feeders and I got sucked into building them. She thought she would only be selling one or two a week and it has turned into anywhere from 10 to 20 a week. Between working 70 hours a week and building the feeders I just haven't had time to mess with it.
She is supposed to be shutting down the orders for the holidays so I'm hoping to get the motor and trans in it for the last time so I can finish up the hot and cold side of the turbo. Then I just need to do the fuel system, wiring harness and some odds and ends. Hopefully I will have some progress going soon |

Just found this thread and noticed it's been a few years since you posted. Any updates on it? What is done looks good. I'm working on fixing my 91 GMC RCSS

Re: 1990 GMC RCSB Turbo LS Swap
Giving this thread a little wake-up kick, would like to see how this project wrapped up if possible.
