Re: 1968 c10 died

Im back. Removed tank replace all rubber hose with metal line tonight my son and I tried to fire it up no luck. Removed pump and behold the lever was broken what gives

That doesn't look like a Delco pump. Inferior parts is my guess.

Didn't see that earlier. I'd say it's defective. I've never seen anything like that, in many years of wrenching.

Delco isn't what it used to be. The last AC/Delco part I bought from a dealer had "made in China" stamped on it.

I had a '68 skylark GS that I went large with a Chevy engine, and put a 4-row truck radiator in it. I went to the Chevy dealer to get the top clamps (where better to get the part, right?) and they were made in China.
