Hello from NH and question

[Glass-Dump]

New to this. I have a 1985 GMC 3500 dump truck. It looks nice, but needs some work. I want to take off the bed and I have a gantry and chainfall. Any hints on getting off the pivot pin? It is pretty rusty. If it needs replacing, where can I get one? Also, the cab is pretty good, but the back panel on the bottom has rust through almost all the way across. If somebody use a plasma cutter on a junk cab and cut all the way across and into the corners, I would be interested. I could solidify dimensions.
I just want a truck that I can drive (slowly) and pick up two tons of glass twice a year. I also have an equipment trailer, and I would like to tow a Ford tractor from my workshop to my home to do work that my wife wants me to do.
Is that too much to ask? It looks nice. I just want it to actually work nice too.
