Re: 1968 GMC 6 lug drum to 6 lug disc conversion ?'s

I just completed this exact transformation on my '69 C-10.
I used the front parts from a '79 Chevy suburban. Ball joints (upper and lower), spindles, calipers, all linkage parts (tie rods, idler arms, drag link, etc.)
I bought new 6 lug rotors from a place I found online (name escapes me).
One long Saturday with NEW replacement parts and all the used '79 hard parts and I was done.
I did convert the front brake lines from 1/4 to 3/16 so I could use the new flex lines I purchased to use with the '79 calipers.

Never been so happy with the transformation and relatively cheap compared to buying a kit. (not saying kits aren't good). Money was an issue at the time so I needed to be practical and still do a quality upgrade.
