How can i patch screw holes in new upper side molding
How can i fix screw holes in new upper side molding on my 71?The PO did a terrible job of installing the upper molding. He used some of the correct stick on fasteners. He also drilled holes in it and used screws in some places.Since the molding is new i would like to patch the holes and reinstall it correctly.Any ideas on how to do this and paint the filled in holes black?

I would make a mold from a good section.
Then put it over the damaged section and fill with JB weld Try some epoxy putty for the mold, just cover the modeling with Saran wrap so it won't stick Last edited by binford; 04-27-2018 at 01:20 PM. |

In the olden days they repaired it with lead.
They would solder the dents full and shape it. That might be easier, as lead to easy to shape |

first choice would be take it to a welder. You could also try JB weld.
