Scans from Chevrolet 68 Data Book
Here is a link to the scans I had on my server for the 68 data book. I have had a lot of request for these when my server crashed. My server should be back up this weekend, but here is a link to the scans for now.

Randy, GM did not send me anything. This is an orignal truck data book that Chevrolet provided to the dealers back in 1968. This is what the salesman used in the show rooms back in 1968 to see what Chevrolet was offering and the prices. The 68 Manual I have is about 4 inches thick packed with info. This is not from the info packet that GM sends out today.

those are the same data book pages that GM scans and sends to us, i ave all the sections from the years except for paint and interior, if you look at the bottom it says data book, even on the scanned ones that GM sends you when you call them for resto packet, it is the same exact data book, i will ave to show you the resto packets that GM sends out, youl see that they are the same exact book pages, the only reason that they are claled resto packets is because they also send a booklet that has restoration info in it, they assume that the data book pages copies wil also help a restorer of one of their vehicles.
if i had digicam right now i would take pics of the copies of the data book pages tat thwey send to you when you call GM for a "resto packet", they are one in the same, i am now assuming you ave never called for one and seen one 69Longhorn or Rod can tell/show you more than i can right now about this Last edited by Fast68Chevy; 05-29-2002 at 11:27 PM. |

Randy, I have also recieved one of those data packets, believe me, it is missing a lot more than the paint and interior sections. Those data packets are great, but it is not near the whole data book.
