I'm thinking if the axle tubes are the same size, yeah shouldnt be a problem. You might have to find specialty sized U joints though, because the bigger rear might want a larger cap than the 1/2 tons driveshaft. Shouldnt be hard to find those though, i heard of several companies/people that used em. Try to do some good measuring though, make sure things wont catch or rub or anything, hate to have that happen

Maybe. Some trucks have 40" spring centers (Longhorns, 4x4's, Blazers) and most pickups have 42.5", so you should check. Your driveshaft may be too long as well, and you know the 8 lug/6 lug thing is different, right?

can do it if neither truck is a C30(1 ton) or all longhorn or a K5(blazer jimmy)
42.5" centers on all except 1 ton and blazer jimmy, and 40" centers n blazer jimmy and all 1 ton and all longhorn U joint caps are 1 3/16" diameter on 3/4 ton and 1 ton and smaller on 1/2 ton, youll need universal u joint at the axle pinion yoke, you can also use a 73-up rear end if you relocate one of the shock mounts, axle tube U clamps wil be different |
