Re: Gauges - what are you running?
Restored factory gauges with tachometer and vacuum gauges. With the amp gauge converted to volt gauge.
I really like the way they came out and I didn't have to buy a new wire harness. I had the same as you, a speedometer and fuel gauge that didn't work and the rest were just lights. I bought a gauge cluster on ebay and had RedlineG add the tach and vacuum gauge. |

Ken, those oem gauges really look nice, plus take up NO extra space.

The guy had me send the temp sending unit so he could calibrated the gauge to it. Now I know for sure my temp is correct. He also gave me choices on where the volt gauge would zero at. It could have zeroed pointing straight up so that when the key is off it would look like a stock Amp Gauge but I had him do the full sweep. I also had him add the numbers to the face. The tach is an original GM part that he converted to 6-cyl, not one of the aftermarket tachs that only work with a V-8. I also know now that my fuel sending unit is going bad. I wasn't sure if it was the gauge or the sender. I thought it was the gauge but now I KNOW it's good. Now I can order the sender and know I'm not buying parts I don't need. |
