Actually, it will be green...

Still getting 2nd gear starts. That can't be normal.

A fancy green one, awesome....

As far as em there second gear starts most likely aint normal, I read on one of those transmission forums once that there gov could be faulty, ya can check YOUtube on how to replace the gov on that 700r4.... its not to hard to do I did it once on a TH350 back in the day.

Yes, I can manually shift. Sometimes, when in 3rd, I can feel it downshift to first just before a stop. Also, still no automatic downshifting.

I read a thread on here post once that someone used a pressure gauge to set the TV cable, not sure if that might help ya out.....maybe your local parts store would have the gauge as a rental tool or if you have a good friend that works there, thats even better.....when ya pick up that nice fancy green light for the dash at the parts store go ahead and ask em if they got a pressure gauge
