What RPM range the manifold will affect power in most. (I believe)

There is 2 versions of the air gap also. I think the models with RPM after them affect power in the Mid to High RPM the others are from Idle to Mid.

Edelbrock has a web site:

The Performer intake is rated from idle to 5500 rpm. This intake is good for stock to mildly modified engines.

The Performer RPM and Performer RPM Air-Gap are both rated from 1500 to 6500rpm. Edelbrock claims that the circulating air around the runners of the Air-Gap will contribute to a cooler intake charge AKA more power. These intakes should be used on engines that have been modified with aftermarket cams, heads, exhaust etc.

I am running a Performer RPM on my stroker motor.

unless you chnage your cam and have roller rockers put in,.....your probably better off with the stock thermoquad.....I love these stock intakes.....they just look ugly

thermoquad??? I KNOW you ain't talking about the plastic dodge carbs from the 60's.
As for keeping stock intakes, naaaa, scrap them. Even on a bone stock, points ignited engine, the performer will wake it up right off the line.
If you put an RPM intake on a stock engine, it'll fall on it's face.

I've used both the Performer and Performer RPM on several different engine combo's.
IMO the Performer is just a little better than a stock intake, while the Performer RPM is MUCH better than a stock intake - both in torque and horsepower.
IMO, if you're running anything bigger than an "rv" cam, you should go with the RPM intake.
Why?
Because most people "over-carb" instead of "over-intake" a motor, resulting in sluggish off the line performance. They slap an RPM intake with a 750 cfm carb on a stock/mild 350 then wonder why it doesn't perform right. Put a 600 cfm carb on the same combo, and it will perform great.
Just my 2 cents. SC

My engine is pritty much a stock 350 but I do want to do more later to it. I dont want to have to go get another intake when I do more to it. So would I be ok with Getting a Performer RPM Air-Gap intake with a 1406 Edelbrock carb for now? Will is suck that bad. Please let me know

I had a truck that had a 350 .060 over. Stock heads, Performer Rpm Air Gap intake and a 750 edelbrock (1407). That thing ran it's balls off. Of course it had 4.10 gears also, but it ran great!

HOTROD929, you'll be OK for now with that combo.
You shouldn't see a big drop-off in low end torque, and you have plenty of intake left for future upgrades such as cam, gears, etc.
If you don't have them already, throw on a set of headers while you're in there.
