Shop suggestions for LSX swap
I gave up building and hot rodding cars in January 2012, and switched to building electric guitars from scratch. Raising kids was the financial reasoning.
My dad passed away in August of last year and I inherited his 93 C1500, 4.3/auto. It's in a bit of a mess, with the main issue being a slipping tranny. To get a decent shop to rebuild the 700r4 is going to run me roughly $1400, and I am debating on just going ahead with a full 5.3 swap. Ten years ago I would never have considered paying someone to do it, but I am simply way too busy building guitars and working for a living. This morning my first goal was to call Street and Performance in Mena (I live in Texarkana, AR), but I discovered they are closed due to a death? What shop should I look at that's within a 3 hour drive from north east Texas/southwest Arkansas? __________________

I think Dallas would be close to your 3 hr distance, but if it's not too far for you then here is a guy I know. He does real good work.
