I rarely buy die casts, but I was surprised to find a pile of these at Walmart this morning and had to have one. They’ve never carried this series at the local store before. Must be loading up for Christmas:

I also picked this one up at a different Walmart a couple of weeks ago. It’s Hot Wheel size and claimed to be a 1958 GMC, but it has single headlights, a funky plastic grille that doesn’t look like anything and an odd front bumper that looks similar to the one found on a 1950 Dodge. It also has wheel tubs! I haven’t decided yet whether to leave it alone or cut it up and turn it into a 1960-66 short step:

I just finished a mock up of what I want our '66 GMC to look like (aside from the fact the model is a '60 Chevy SBW). The cab and bed fit is terrible, its' like they are different scales. Other than that I think it turned out okay.

My gmc I scratch built the v6 and dash ,made it a long step with spare tire. A friend scratch built the gmc hood and grill then I pulled a mold and cast resin copys for this truck.

On the plus side I had a few extra resin parts left over, and I handed them over to another member that is working with a professional resin caster to see if he is willing to put them back in production.
