Fuel lines and fuel pump wiring help

Using a gas thank out of 98 Camaro z28 and I'm a bit confused on what line is the sending and which is the return. Just to double check on the wiring the GREY wire is the power/ PURPLE would go on the fuel gauge/ BLACK is ground but what would be the other ground with the white line be too. Thanks in advance.

Re: Fuel lines and fuel pump wiring help

Is one the pump ground, and the other the gauge ground? Fuel gauges work on resistance to ground, so power goes from your gauge +, to the sending unit PURPLE, and the other black to ground, and the sweep of the arm creates resistance across that ground giving you a level.
