Need a pic of inside of firewall with cable throttle

Now might be a good time to modify my cab from a gas pedal that uses the rod linkage to a cable linkage type. Can someone post a pic of the interior of the firewall showing how the cable linkage area is. I know there is a past post on this but I couldn't find it.

I just went through that, at length. Here is the link

Unfortunately, the pictures were lost when Josh upgraded the board. Orange70Chevy helped me out with the pics and I only kept one of the ones that he posted, of the engine side of the firewall. Maybe you can PM him and ask him to post the one of the interior side.

Here is the pic of the engine side, with thanks to Orange70Chevy...

...and, finally, the pic comparing the pedal I got out of a '71 (on the right) with the pedal that came out of a mid-'70s truck...

Hmm, I just happen to have a 78 parts truck in my barn right now. You used the later model pedal, correct?

Yes, I used the later pedal. My intent was to not put any more holes in the firewall if I didn't have to, as well as maintaining the original pedal position. I have yet to weld up the holes where the original pedal came through the firewall (my attention is now on finishing the frame first, then I'll cherry out the firewall). I'm going to leave the rear light plug connector where it is (below the throttle cable)...it doesn't look like it will cause any interference problems.

Here is a pic of the "adapter plate". I made it out of 1/4" steel with both bolt patterns with the offset as mentioned in the earlier thread. I drilled and tapped 1/4-20 on the six holes (it's what I do for a living, so it didn't seem too arduous.) You don't have to go to all that trouble unless, like me, you like where the stock pedal resides...cable throttles are pretty forgiving.
