Gremlins...help!

Hey yall...Just fired up the 69 c30 292 for the first time in 5 years!!!!

List of parts changed...
1. Whole new fuel system including tank, sending unit, fuel lines, fuel pump, fuel filter and carburetor.
2. Master cylinder and brake booster.
3. Wheel cylinders in the front.
4. Brake pads and various drum break components that were missing or seized.
5. Rubber break lines in the front.
6. Radiator
7. New battery
8. Plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor

Topped up the differential and bled the breaks and Voila shes back from the dead! Took about 4 weeks total to put her back together.

Not sure why but everything rusts super fast out here so I also put a couple coats of flat black on the master cylinder and booster.

OK now to the gremlins. The rear lights stay on with the key out of the ignition. Seems like a simple problem but wondering if its a common problem on these old trucks. Disconnecting the battery every time is fine. I like lookin at her inside parts. Shes purdy!

Ill see if i can figure out how to post pics from my phone in a minute.

Re: Gremlins...help!

Probably your stop light switch is out of adjustment. It's a fun thing to adjust...not. Just pop the wires off and see if the brake lights go out.

Re: Gremlins...help!

Take each picture and open them in something like MS Paint. When you save them, they get oriented properly. Sometimes. :P

Edit to add- I see you have cardboard creepers too. I have a sloping driveway, and if I used my old mechanic's creeper, I'd end up in the middle of the street. I have containers from stuff like washing machines that I peel open to make "creepers".

haha Thanks Steveedee, figured out the picture thing.

Yea I get a new shiny creeper everytime a new part comes in lol. Truck had been sitting so long in my yard. Feel bad about leaving her in the elements but today was such a good day to finally get her running again.

Next I will be replacing the bed. Thinking about just doing treated lumber.
