1969 "YQ" code 396cid/310HP, correct for C-20, C-30 ("YR" code would include 1/2Ton C10 models)

Date coded parts are all matched July-August build date, within weeks of each other, etc. Need crank (#6223 steel, $250 on Ebay most days), rods (freshened sets, $200 daily), and pistons are up to you, of course.

Block: 3935440 casting, block I.D. stamp pad: TO828YQ (396cid/300HP, truck) 2-bolt, Date G*18*8
Heads: 3931063 bare castings, closed chamber, "large" oval ports, Date(s) G*31*8, H*20*8
Intake: 3931067, iron Q-jet pattern, Date H8*13*8
Thermostat housing: 3877660, number on top (NOT on thermostat lip)
Carburetor: Rochester Quadrajet, 7029214 IF, "396/427" application
