Are these odd shaped holes in my headers normal?
I have a 1970 402 and was changing the valve covers gaskets when I saw these odd shaped holes in my header. Are these normal?

Re: Are these odd shaped holes in my headers normal?
Those are heads not headers and they are the oil drain back holes. It's normal to have some casting flash in them.

Re: Are these odd shaped holes in my headers normal?
Thanks Bigdav160 for the info on the "heads"!
PS - My dad was an auto mechanic his entire life and he is probably turning over in his grave when his son referred to heads as "headers"!
