6L80E on Trailblazer SS Engine?

Hi, I guess it is time to display my lack of knowledge.... :-)

So I bought a complete drive train from a 2008 Trailblazer SS, for my 1959 Apache. I thought I could just ditch the 4WD stuff and live happily ever after with the LS2/4L70E.

Of course it wasnt that easy, because of the front differential, and the gearbox being mated to the transfer case.

So I sold all the 4WD stuff! Now I want a 6L80E instead, but this time I thought I should ask first. Will this work with the 400 hp Trailblazer SS LS2 engine? I am guessing yes since that is the standard Corvette C6 setup, but I was hoping someone else tried this....

If it doesnt work because of the rear diff on a C6, which way should I go? Does a 4L80E from any truck work?

Regards,

Johan
