I'll go first. I paid $6500 for my 1970 C2500 GMC Longhorn.

I'd never done a brake job, so I paid 2K for a new brake system front to back. Had never done carb work and was somewhat misled into $700 for a new carb, filter and line from the pump. So 6K into a truck I probably couldn't sell for more than $3500. But I like it, so what the heck. Not for sale at the moment. I've owned it two years. I paid $2800 for a one owner primarily unmolested/unrusted 71 SWB 402 / A/C with 96K miles. Course that was in 1989. I figure to have about 44K into it when done. What will it be worth? Heck I don't know. I figure at least the dollars I'll have into it. Sure wouldn't see much return on time, but it's not for sale anyway. Win some lose some, but 67-72 are GREAT trucks.
