Re: 1968 gmc swb

Just FYI all 68 had drum brakes, they can be converted to power. GMC’s were all leaf spring unless special ordered with coils. Does the frame have the same vin # as the one on the title and door post tag ? So what your saying is it has some rust in the usual places. Also that passenger 67 fender, if it’s rust free is worth a bit of change. I would say enough to pay for power booster to convert brakes....I would give 5K for it all day if the above is correct. Don’t find many of those around anymore. Heck it even has duel exhaust.

Yes I'm aware of the unique features of a 68 GMC. If it was a 71 Chevy I'd be all over it at $5k (discs and coils). I thought the duals were a plus until I got under it. The 'Y' was a recent addition after the rear axle so more like a 'dual tip'. The rust went all the way to the cab mounts and into the floor of the cab by the kick panels which I considered too rusty. The top of the cab seemed OK tho. Good point on the 67 fender! I really wanted to buy it to keep me from spending 3x as much on a 61 Bel Air I found but it looks like I'm buying a full size car.
