why cant we get one piece floor pans like these? i found this on a vintage camaro site

Hell ya it would be great it someone could make the pannel all one piece as my blazer too could use it!!!!

I have tried to convince the manufacturers to make them. I even volunteered a good floor for them to make the tooling from, but they say it is too expencive to make the tooling for them and they don't think that the market is strong enough to pay back their investment. I dont see how they could think that., almost every truck needs some kind of patch panel, and I would rather replace the whole floor so you dont see all the seems, or spend 150 hours blending them in. and this piece in the pic was like 400$

I would be happy with a 1/4 floor section. As long as the width of the door is one piece and about 18" in

IMO I think it would be more work to replace an entire floor pan then it would be to patch it. One piece floor pans are good idea in theory but it would require alot of skill to replace it and there would be more of a chance of screwing up your cab.

Yep, wish the floor pans would be made to extend all the way back to the cab corners instead of splicing in the "rear outer section" along the door sill. Whole floor pan like the one pictured above would require some major bracing to keep the cab from tweaking. Only well equipped and experienced shops would be able to install them without a big hassle.
Come to think of it, wouldn't you have to remove the outriggers to install a full pan?
