Re: Fuel pressure
Yes, you will need to regulate the pressure down. I know my Edelbrock only likes approx. 5psi. The electric pump puts out quite a bit more. I did this previously with my 350 and I had to use a regulator.

Re: Fuel pressure
Thanks. I installed 87-91 blazer tank and pump/sending unit in my 78 k1500 stepside. Stock motor with edel2101 manifold and rebuilt quadrajet. I have a 4309 mallory regulator. Can i mount it by the tank? I'm eliminating the dual tanks.

Re: Fuel pressure
I had mine just before my fuel pressure guage.
I used an edelbrock part: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/e...MaAhAuEALw_wcB I connected my fuel pressure guage to the 1/8 NPT inlet and on the end I used 3/8" fuel line conncted my regulator and my fuel line from the pump connected on the opposite end of the regulator. carb > fuel pressure guage> regulator > pump It worked well for me, that way I could see my pressure and adjust the regulator right at the carb. |

Re: Fuel pressure
Stock 5-6 psi on a mechanical pump.

Re: Fuel pressure
my setup, its not perfect but it works
the guage isnt very accurate being mounted on the regulator, not sure where else to put it I can also hear the regulator buzz, tried to quiet it with a piece of rubber between it and the firewall but no luck I will get around to properly setting it up, eventually lol hope this helps |
