Re: New project
Well the jimmy is going to be a restoration not frame off but a clean DD with new paint and redo the interior. the hard part is a finding a good 6.2.for it

Re: New project
Finding a 6.2 should be easy. There are plenty of military CUCV trucks being parted out all over the country, and they all have J code 6.2's. Nice score! I love a diesel blazer!

Re: New project
Sorry about the misunderstanding guys.sadly both trucks are gas and both run and drive but the jimmy has some tranny issue no reverse and the PO did a tbi to carb conversion using a quadrajet intake and Holley carb and it has some bad starting issue floods when hot and surges bad when its cold that's why I'm trying to find 6.2 to swap in plus I want a 6.2 truck.

Re: New project
Here's an update on the jimmy.Started work on the jimmy yesterday and tore down the front end and found bad ball joints and the rotors where shot so I'm rebuilding the front end and rear.

Re: New project
Nice. Looks like it's been neglected for a little while. Good thing you got it when you did. No stone for a stepper though. Good as new in no time!
