driveshaft won't fit
went to put driveshaft in and found that front yoke has 31 splines and tranny has 26 whats the best thing to do.whole new driveshaft or new front yoke?it also has a hanging center bearing,never saw one of those.

There were two versions of the center bearing as you have discovered. Sounds like this was a heavy duty truck with TH400.

what tranny you got ?
HD carrier bearings have side by side mounting bolts, light duty have in line mounting bolts, 4 speed and th400 normally use the HD version and three speed and th350- normally use light duty i can cont some splines on some shafts i have around if you need, i have all kinds of different ones, PM me if so.. |
