Elbow grease and white diamond metal polish. I polish all of my aluminum and wheels etc. pretty regularly so not worried about that...............lol

I just paid a company to polish my tailgate band like yours and they made a mess of it

Looks like they sanded it with sander. You can save it I would hand sand it to start with 220 long ways until those marks are gone the other direction with 400 wet so you can see when the 220 marks are gone the 600 800 1000 1500 2000 and buff it once you get it smooth it will buff by hand pretty good if yo don’t have a buffing wheel

Duel 77-87 Factory air cleaner, duel inlet from rad support . Down sized 9' to new 8' Steel flat bed Was a 77 454 w/308 gear. Taken out 550 lbs. up front with motor clip change. |

I wish there was a really good polisher you could trust to do these tail gate bands....definitely be worth it if it turned out like your all's
