True story,I swear.Huh?You don`t believe me,but you bought that other story??J/K,that would be awesome if it could pan-out.Surely someone from GM,past or present, would recall such a unique project on such a "break-through" model.

Special-K - That story sounds good to me! I'm just looking for a good reason not to redo the back of the front doors (make them square like subs) and make it a shortbed. Sounds to me like Uncle Bernie wouldn't mind, especially since those mods might help him pick up a couple of more women.

Re: ever seen a crew cab railroad 68?

Damn it, that was in my back yard all this time and I didn't even know it!! I wonder if this is the third one of the three quiksilver was talking about? He said he bought two of the three, but the owner wanted to keep the third for himself? Anyways looking forward to seeing it in person when your buddy comes by, rob.

Mike,

Unfortunately, he's going the other direction. He'll be coming by your place, to Phoenix, and I'll probably meet him in DFW. Might have found a Powertrain..............

Re: ever seen a crew cab railroad 68?

If it weren't for the triangle deal in the back windows it might look alright - otherwise, to me, it just looks like two cabs welded together (which is what it is). Just my .02.

Re: ever seen a crew cab railroad 68?

I would have to do some fab work and fix the back doors and the triangle pillar. Do something like the Suburbans back door.
