I have used 3 covers and all of them have been almost too short. The last one actually ripped, trying to get it to go on. All the 81-87 covers have been fine.
After getting a refund for the cover that ripped, I ordered another 73-80 cover from USA1 Industries. The fit was perfect. I had measured the Classic Industries cover before sending it back and then I measured this new one. The USA1 cover was 4" longer than the cover that ripped.
Here's a pic of it. It is installed on 77 tilt seat, Camel Tan
