I'm sure just as dealers could have lots of dealer badges produced, the same company could whip these up. There have been dealer promotions all along. I have found trucks with things like special stripes and a few choice options added to a base truck. It was really the birth of what is now the conversion market

My Timberliner I had actually got a few things from the package. It was originally a solid orange custom/10. The made it deluxe two tone. Added bumper guards. And added a aftermarket upper trim. The Timberliner name fits Missoula very well, beings its in the heart of the Rockies

I've never seen the timberliner badge, have seen the T&W .. but by the time I was around they were just painting the T&W on.

I have recently acquired this same model. Story behind this was my grandfather's first new truck purchase. He later in life loaned to an aunt and uncle that we farmers in Hamilton, MT. They treated it as a farm truck, so needs a lot of work. It was then passed down to my dad and now to me. I am trying to make this a father daughter project and am wanting to keep as original as I can.
Has any one found out more about this truck and what makes it special other than the emblem? If not I do live in the area and maybe just need to speak with the dealer that bought them out. Carl Tyler Chevrolet

Welcome wademon! I think we've narrowed down that the emblem itself was a Missoula MT dealer add-on and not much more than that. The changes 68350 mentioned that were additional from the dealer on his truck may have been considered part of a package - or may have just been several different add-ons from the dealer. Odd that this would be in a different location. What year is it? Is it also a Highlander (plaid seat Custom Deluxe trim)? What trim level is it. Ok, allow me to be the first to say it... NEED PICS! (and include that SPID ) Any idea if it had a cap/camper shell on it when new? Ha, Welcome to the forum, can't wait to see your truck, thanks for sharing.

I'm still learning about this truck not sure what trim levels there were. The Title states that it is a C10 Timberline. One thing that was also stated to me is that the C10's didn't come with a rear bumper. So maybe that was part of the package? Also not a mechanic, but I have a friend helping me get this going and he stated that it has a (and may have heard him wrong) oil bath carborator. It has a 327 and my friend also stated that it had some other parts that indicated it was a heavier duty truck like intake manifold. I'm adding some pics, sorry about the bed but don't have a clean one of it yet. Also not sure on the interior as it is all shot. One other thing not sure if you can make out but does have custom under side windows.

Sorry left out the year it is a 1967. And also yes they are correct it was a Missoula, MT Truck

That would be an oil bath air cleaner. Air is drawn into the carburetor through an oil bath, which in theory is much better at filtering out fine particulates than a paper filter.
