I modified the factory 73-up brackets. Ill take some pics in the next day or so. If I was to do it again, I would also use the 73-up front cross-member because it seems like it will bolt (rivet) right up to the 72-down frame rails.
I went for another long ride yesterday, and am amazed at the difference the anti-sway bar and springs made. The body doesn't lean anymore, and the braking is so much more controlled. I was always concerned about snapping one of the front leaf springs at the front perch because it just seems like a week area. Without the anti-sway bar, the axle could then move backwards and would most likely flip the truck. This probably explains why the 72s have that small bracket behind the spring to try and prevent that. With the anti-sway bar, it's now impossible for the front axle to shift backwards in the event of a spring failure. The piece of mind alone is worth the install. |

Well, it's been 2500 miles since the spring install, and decided to see if the truck settled at all. Ride height seems to have settled about 1/2" from when they were new. Still the best improvement I've done on the truck so far.

FWIW..I just installed a Tuff Country 2 inch EZ ride lift and 33 inch tires. The pics show where I ended up at zero miles. I didnt take any before measurements
