VIN number starts with 3 letters
I have a 72 chevy c10. I just bought it and when I went to get insurance the online quote did recognize the VIN. I started doing some research and everything I found said that the VIN should have 2 letters and then numbers, etc. My VIN starts with CCE. Is this typical?

Your online quote probably failed due to being a pre-17 digit standardized vin.

It is typical that you won't be able to do online stuff with your VIN. VIN beginning with CCE is normal.

IN 71 and earlier, those three letters would have been CE. CCE is for a 2WD V8 Chev.
