72 to 67 front end swap with lwb to swb problems
I have a 72 lwb i bought with no bed. The plan was shorten the frame and swap on a 67 front end with a new 67 wood floor bed. Problem is i found the 72 frame had been wrecked and frame was bad. I bought a 70 lwb frame. I did the reserch and made all the measurements cut the frame and put it back together. All is good. I now finished the cab and have a new bed and fenders, rad support for a 67. I put rhe cab on the frame with cab mounts for a 72 and also read where i can not use 72 rad support mounts and have to use the 67 mount set up. So with the cab and bed on the frame the bed is 1and 1/2 inch away from the cab at the top and 2and a1/2 away at the bottom i then put a 3/4 spacer at the rear cab mounts and that helped but not perfect, so now The front fenders will not fit unless i use the 72 rad support mounts and also put in a 1/2 specer. Any ideas? does it really matter if it all goes together in the end?

Sounds to me like you used a C-10 rubber cushion set on a C-20 frame. That would cause the problem you are seeing. As far as the core support cushions, you have to use the set for the frame you are using. LockDoc

i will post some pics but the rear frame mounts are level with the top of the frame. the core support info is good because i was told i needed to use the 67/68 mounts.
