Is it already converted to internal oiling? Where did you get it and how much?
I saw a York in operation this past weekend and I was not too impressed, but it was still cool. Granted, it was having to supplying 10-15 gallons of air for for a bodydropped suburban with 1/2" lines and FULL lift (to stock 4x4 height). Since the clutch is kicking off and on, you have to wait for the clutch to engage to fill the tanks.

Needs bigger lines and a tank then. York can make 300psi no problem. It's like 9 CFM at 90psi and 1500 Engine RPM. One mistake I have seen people make is the plumb the presure switch inline close to the compressor. Then down stream before the tank there is restriction like a fitting that necks down. The York will make the air fast enough the the line pressure will hit 125psi (cut off on most switches) and just keep cycling even though the tank may be at 50PSI. BIG FAT pipe with no restrictions before the tank and it should do pretty good. Running straight off tthe compressor with a 1/4 in ID line it will fill a 35 inch tire from 10PSI to 30 in about a minute at a 800 RPM idle. That as fast as my home compressor will do it.

Looks good! I gotta measure mine for the new belt, and that's about it. I should snap a pic.
Good job! |

full foot
CJ's I believe had them, but here is a link to one that is serpentine. http://www.onboardair.com/clutches.htm bagged81 That is weird that he was having problems. I have seen air tools run straight off a 10 cu. in. York compressor.
