How tight should ball joints press in ?
83 C20 pickup.
Got K6129 lower ball joints from O'Reilly, supposedly the correct ones for the truck Problem is, they are way too big for the hole in the control arm, even after driving out the thin spacer the factory had installed with their OEM joints. Using calipers, I come up with .093 interference, seems WAY too much metal to try and press into the hole. UPDATE: Found out the engineers who had the parts made screwed up and I need a different part number, K6129T which SHOULD be the correct fit.

Hello use grease on the tools threads of the press so there less change of braking (all types of press tools lube before used for your safety for you and the tool safety eye glasses)
