steering shaft
The connection above the u joint clamp has a lot of slop. I am having a hard time finding information on repairing this connection, mostly cause I do not know what it is called.
edit- the image posted sideways, tho it is correct on my computer. anyway, the part i am interested in is the steering shaft above the u-joint, close to where it is coming out of the firewall . Can some of you guys comment on the part name and how to remove and replace? It ~looks~ like it might not be too difficult... Thanks!

I would guess you are looking for a “lower column bearing”
