Help Finding a lower rad hose

Water pump is 1 3/4" and lower rad neck is 1 1/2" and the elbow is probably just a standard 90 degree. Anyone have any part numbers?

Please and thank you.

sorry, no part numbers, BUT, I'd suggest you mock up a hose using hand towel tubes or go buy some flexible tubing and make the shape you need. you should be able to find a hose with 2 different size inlets

Re: Help Finding a lower rad hose

Napa 7344 or 7648 depending on where you need the length of the long side. or you can use an 1-3/4" hose with a reducer to 1-1/2" #901

Re: Help Finding a lower rad hose

Gates has a reference guide, (pdf) chart of molded hoses online. Download it and it has inlet and outlet sizes and length. When I did my chevelle, I found a half dozen that might be close then went to the parts store had them look up or cross reference the number, which had a pic attached so I could see what would work.

Sorry I forgot to mention the engine type. SBC350 with AD OEM style aluminum rad.

I will look at the napa part numbers. Thank you to everyone for the great information.

Re: Help Finding a lower rad hose

I want to say thanks to the people who responded to my post. I first tried the Napa 7648 but the 1.75" neck was to long off the water pump. Then I tried the 7344 and it was just right. Just had to trim a couple inches off the 1.5" end and it fits perfect.

Re: Help Finding a lower rad hose

that's great.
for others who just can't find a match, I suggest using a piece of muffler pipe or the like, bent to fit the area, then have the exhaust shop swage one end a bit bigger to fit the larger size hose. install with short pieces of hose at each end. the bonus is that the pipe can have a tab welded on if it is a long run and then it can be supported-flexibly of course to allow engine movement under torque up. smooth the cut ends and use good quality hose clamps. it's only gotta hold 16 psi.

Re: Help Finding a lower rad hose

We need to put that hose number down in the things to remember list because someone else will be looking for it before long.

That's weird; all the OEM style aftermarket aluminum radiators I've seen have had 1-3/4" bottom hose size. I didn't even know they were available with 1-1/2 lower outlet. Mine:

Re: Help Finding a lower rad hose

I thought it was a OEM style rad. I'm not sure because I bought the project partially completed.

Here is another picture for reference. I assumed it was OEM style because it fits between the rad support and blots into the factory OEM mounting holes. It also has built in trans cooler line hookups on the bottom.

It also has a flex-a-lite syclone fan on the front and I've added a painless wiring fan relay as well.
