Rear Swaybar--worth it? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Looking for some info from those of you that have installed a rear swaybar on these trucks (specifically the 1/2 ton coil spring models) I'm doing the front sway bar for sure, but don't how much the rear swaybar helps. Thanks

Do it!! You will think you are driving a vette. Put one on my 71 Cheyenne short bed and it make a great deal of difference.

I will be installing a rear sway bar from a Camaro on my 72. I also have a front sway bar to bolt on soon. I have heard it makes the handling of these trucks amazing

What year Camaro? I have a 76 that I am getting ready to junk after I pull the motor and trans. It has a rear sway bar

Remember when adding a rear sway bar you need to use a larger than stock front bar.
Otherwise your truck will have a push. This would be worse than the loose condition you had with no rear bar.
You will be amazed at how it handles with 2 correctly matched bars
