spotlights

Anyone have any info on spotlights? I picked up a couple, and may make one good one for my pickup, just curious if anyone has one on their truck and likes it. The ones I got are Unity S-6, one has GMC crest the other Unity crest, dont know if they are for our pickups, what should the shaft length be? any other details appreciated, thanks

No info...but here is a pic of a factory one.
FYI, the owner of this truck told me it is illegal to use them in his state. Something you might want to look into before cutting up a cab.

i have one that is going on my truck, i just need to get around to rewiring it, from what i have gathered, in Texas they are grandfathered but i see them on newer trucks all the time so i am starting to wander about that one, i know that my uncle has one on his 99 chevy but he is a rancher and uses it for checking the cows and fence rows

I have one that I want to put in my K/5. I mail ordered a bracket for one from XXXxx a few weeks ago -- still havn't gotten it yet. The Unity factory rep called the 67/72 driver's windsheild frame bracket p/n 202, I think.

Guys and Gals

The place to shop for spotlights is Accessoryland. I just got a new unity light from them with a GMC crest and all the mounting brackets for $195.00 You can also get repair/replacement parts from them. They have great service and ship very fast. All they deal with are Spotlights, fog lights and bracket kits. Call Bob or Suz Birch at 563-556-5482 or email them at unityspotlights@aol.com

I have no connection with them other than I met them at Carlisle a few years ago and they are good people.

I don't have one on my trucks now but I did have one on my 68 Chevy. Back then I liked it alot and would still say I would still like it if I had it today. Comes in pretty handy at times.

Here's a couple that were sent to me.

I picked up a nice OEM one from another board member.I picked up a NOS exterior mounting bracket off E-Bay.
Gotta get the balls and drill into my Blazer's winshield frame now.
